Q1.) I am ready to have a web-site built, where do I start? ^Top
A1.) Contact us for a free consultation. We will discuss the needs of your site, and the time-frame you are working with, and go from there!

Q2.) How much does a web-site cost? ^Top
A2.) All web-site's start at the base fee of $150, plus $15 Hosting per Month, and may include a 1 time setup and/or admin fee. For more information on this, please see our Rates page.

Q3.) How long have you been in business? ^Top
A3.) Macclenny.com has had continuous coverage of Baker County since 1997.

Q4.) What qualifies you to build my web-site? ^Top
A4.) As mentioned, Macclenny.com launched 1997. That is 2 years prior to any other web-site for Baker County, & Five Years prior to our closest competitor. But don't take our word for it - you can contact any of our Clients to see how they enjoy our service!

Q5.) Is experience a factor in choosing my designer? ^Top
A5.) Yes & No. That question is relative to your situation & needs.

For example, the internet from 5 years ago is not the same internet it is today. Both web-surfing & the business aspects of the internet have experienced change, and continue to change. It is important to look at it from different angles. 1.) How long have they been around? The longer the better. You want to make sure that your designer has a good track record before you commit your advertising dollars to them. And 2.) See what they have done lately. In an ever-changing marketplace, see what your web-designer has done in the last year or two to ensure that they have not been left behind in Design or Technology.

Q6.) What experience does Macclenny.com have? ^Top
A6.) As said before we launched in 1997, five years prior to our closest competitor. However, our design experience pre-dates the launch of Macclenny.com. We have been desinging web-sites since 1996.

Other local companies claim to have "... almost twenty years of ... web design and development experience." - This is an impossible claim, as the World Wide Web did not solidify with the introduction of W3C until 1994, a little over 10 years ago.*

In addition, in the last 2 years we have launched more web-sites and aquired more clients than all of our competitor's combined.**

We have designed sites for small businesses with 1 or 2 employees, to national food-chains spanning over 100 locations! Large or Small, we can handle almost any web-development challange that is set before us.

* See this CNN.com Time Chart for more details.
** This information is based on Launch Announcements given per design team, and their published client lists.

Q7.) What sets Macclenny.com apart from other designers? ^Top
A7.) Although we will at times employ "free" software to enhance our projects, none of our sites can be found in a "template" repository. Each design is custom built. We stay away from building on "cookie-cutter" web-templates. Other site builders may also use some free software & tend to use pre-made templates. In other words, they are not really Designing a web-site as much as they are simply installing pre-made software on one. The down-side to this is that your web-site is not unique and will not stand out against your competitiors (even though that is what you paid for). That plus are prices are lower.

Q8.) How can you keep your prices so low when compared to the "big city" designers? ^Top
A8.) Car Manufactures sometimes "Share" componets. For example, the engine that powers the Chrysler 300C, is also in the Dodge Ram Hemi. Both are very different vehicles designed to do very different things. The same is true with web-development. We have a software library (or engines if you will) at our disposal that can be modified for your site, and execute a number of different functions. Many of these engines are developed as core-projects by non-profit organizations, and are tested for reliablity and security before being put into production.

From there, we can take these "engines" in-house and modify / install them into a custom designed web-site to facilitate the needs of the site. No need to re-design the same engine over and over. Cutting down on this redundancy in the development stage can save time (and money) down the stretch.

Q9.) I have questions not answered by this FAQ.. ^Top
